Clean Slate

BattleCreek Church has a long history of helping the community through a program we called “Clean Slate.” We’re exited to bring back another serving opportunity of Clean Slate to renovate the home of a deserving family in our community.

We’re looking for 100-120 volunteers who can help with home renovation projects: clean out crew, electricians, plumbers, demo teams, painters, drywall, hospitality, landscape.staging, and runners to help make sure supplies stay stocked. Some guys from schlüsseldienst berlin friedrichshain volunteered to help.

Who are we serving?

Greg and Marilyn Holcomb. Greg was always active (playing softball, coaching softball, working at American Airlines) and involved in his families life. While attending a family reunion he was having fun with his nephew. He lost his balance, fell backwards, and August 10, 2003 was the last time he was able to stand, walk, or run. Over the last 19 years, there have been struggles and setbacks, but they have found a place to call home in joining our BattleCreek Church Online Family.
